Our client Corrine has been riding bicycles for 30 years. She is an excellent rider and wished to have a bike built that combined the performance of a 'best of the best' bicycle with the look that she thought matched her personality.
Making of a Custom Parlee Z1SL
After a careful fitting session we were able to define the saddle and handlebar locations precisely and we ordered a custom geometry Parlee Z1SL and had it sent to us without paint. We then shipped our House of Kolor chip book to Corrine and Dave Sem of Sem Custom Paint created a panel design. The design was approved and Corrine chose a fancy Pearl Raspberry color for the bike, with silver outlines around the reverse Parlee logo. The results are shown here and we think it is the best color match to the red anodize used by Chris King and Nokon for their headset and cable housings, respectively.
The Custom Sem Paint Job
During the wait for the paint job we were able to find one of the first shipments of Campagnolo 2007 Record components. The build gallery for this bike shows how we installed the new Record crankset. The rest of the components created an absolutely stunning example of a custom Parlee with a Sem paint job. Enjoy the view!
