Bespoke Ultra Parlee Z1 Superbike
Bespoke Ultra Parlee Z1 Superbike
While I have worked hard to create better and better bicycles for our incredible clients I am always awestruck by the incredible beauty that one of our Parlee superbikes displays. We have been fortunate enough to have had four bicycles of this bespoke level commissioned this year.
A True Parlee Superbike
This particular bike has a one-of-a-kind paint job with the lightest dusting of a "ghost" Parlee logo and all other logos removed. The owner wanted to commemorate his Scottish heritage and as such had us create a bike with the St. Andrew's Cross which is the Scottish flag, and the "Lion Rampant", the Scottish heraldry symbol.
Dave Sem, our uber painter, spent an incredible amount of time researching and creating the design. His execution of the theme is flawless. This is the best bicycle I have built to date and is one I was sad to see leave the studio but thrilled to see the look of the owner's face when he took delivery.
This bike weighs 12 lbs with pedals, bottle cages, Vittoria Corsa tubular tires and a Garmin 705. It has a custom designed Parlee Z1 frame with tubes defined for the owner's weight and riding style. The Zipp Vuma Quad cranks have BB30 bearings which are integrated into the Z1 frame.
The transmission is Campagnolo Record 10, with FibreLyte carbon fiber jockey pulleys and rear derailleur mech plate. The brakes and seatpost are AX Lightness. Lew Racing Pro-VT1 wheels support the bike and the handlebars, stem and bottle cages are from Zipp.
Thanks to our clients we are able to continue to push the envelope of excellence and we are so proud of this example of our work.
