Parlee Z1 Ultra Concours Showcase 1

As we head to Las Vegas for the Interbike show, we wanted to share one of the bikes to be on display at the Parlee booth. It is our Parlee Z1 with custom Ultra Concours package of components that we disassembled and had painted by Dave Sem of Sem Custom Paint. Nothing is compromised on this bike, from the frame itself, the Lew PROVT-1 wheels, the AX Lightness calipers, Campagnolo transmission, Storck PowerArms, FibreLyte chainrings, jockey pulleys and inner mech plate, Reynolds seatpost and many others.
The frame was completed last year and we used it as a "proof of concept" for a completely detailed custom bicycle. The logic was to show what happens when we disassemble the components, detail them to match the custom frame paint job, and then painstakingly reassemble them, producing a cohesive "finished" bicycle. We are going to continue to offer this service to discriminating clients. These bicycles are all one-of-a-kind. No two will be alike.
The best part is, the bike is just as usable as any other of our special bicycles. This bike was seen on cyclingnews.com and then was recognized on local century rides. One bike store employee came up and commented how pleased he was that this bicycle actually existed when he saw it at the end of the Lance Armstrong Challenge century.
