The Interbike trade show in Las Vegas is a huge bike show for dealers. It is one that is very important for manufacturers to show their best work. We were honored by Parlee to be asked to provide one of our custom concours builds with a Dave Sem Custom painted frame, saddle, seatpost and bottle cages.
The bike will be ridden after the show with the gear shown on previous galleries. In other words, Kevin Saunders weight 208 lbs and cannot ride the AX Lightness components which have a 185 lb weight limit. The decision was made to have two sets of saddles and seatposts made up so the bike can be quickly switched from "show" to "go" with the change of a seatpost!
As shown with Speedplay Zero stainless pedals, the bike weighs 13.15 lbs. With the Fizik Arione braided carbon rail saddle and Reynolds Ouzo Pro seatpost, the bike weighs 14 lbs. The bike will support a 208 lb rider with this setup.
Back to the show stuff, notice the airbrushed stencils on the seatpost, saddle and bottle cages. The candy red color lets the subtle stencils show through, especially on the top of the saddle. This is some of Dave Sem's best work and we are so glad he is on the team!
