Magazine Ad Photo Shoot, May 2007, Sarah

Magazine Ad Photo Shoot, May 2007, Sarah - 01We have recently started an upscale marketing campaign, resulting in advertising in bRILLIANT Magazine and others. This gallery is a collection of the best shots of the day, and there were so many nice ones that we felt like sharing! This is our second shoot for the magazine ad, but the first to publish as a gallery. We plan on adding galleries like this of our future marketing efforts because they are fun, the bikes and the models look beautiful, and the pictures are unusual and interesting. Be forewarned that we are using large images which will require a broadband connection. Now to our story.Magazine Ad Photo Shoot, May 2007, Sarah - 02

This photo shoot was done with our new model Sarah Bass, a local athlete with a great physique and an even better attitude. We like the look she presents of a successful, athletic, focused woman who appreciates the best and achieves what she wants. She was great fun to work with and was eager to please our photographer Greg Harrision. Greg is our ongoing photographer and we are thrilled with the shots he took this day. These photo sessions require lots of resources so we are teaming with local specialty retailers. We are so thankful to be working with Julian Gold, who provided the dresses and shoes, and with JGreen Jewelers, who provided over $750,000 in jewelry. One may recognize the bike as our friend and client Robert Vasquez was so kind in loaning it to us. Hair was fabulously done by Linda Harsh of Omagi Salon in San Antionio, and the make-up was done by Alyssa Garcia. Lew Racing overnighted their version 2.0 wheels to us so they could look beautiful as well.

Magazine Ad Photo Shoot, May 2007, Sarah - 15We used the Fairmount Hotel in San Antonio as our location. This jewel of a hotel was built in 1906. Here is an excerpt from the Fairmount website on it's history:

Magazine Ad Photo Shoot, May 2007, Sarah - 42Historic Move Saves The Fairmount...

In 1984 the fate of The Fairmount was in debate, one option being the demolition of this nearly century old building to make room for new retail and lodging space; however, the city of San Antonio has long had strong ties to the past and therefore opted to move the entire structure to a new home next to La Villita National Historic District.

Six days later on April 4, 1985 at an approx cost of $1 million to complete this monumental task, the 3.2 million pounds of brick and mortar was lifted onto rollers, trussed with bands of steel and moved five blocks to its present location where it settled onto it’s new home ground. The move was national and international news featured in more than 30 foreign countries.

Guiness World Record 1986 Move...

The Guinness Book of World Records noted it as the largest structure ever moved on wheels. The hotel reopened on September 5, 1986 with an addition to the original structure creating the 37 accommodations it has today. It’s recent past includes ownership by B.K. Johnson of King Ranch and management by Patriot American Hospitality and Wyndham Grand Heritage Hotels.
