KGS Bikes Offers Fittings to Dallas' Discriminating Cyclists

 SAN ANTONIO, May 29 /PRNewswire/ -- After seeing an opportunity for growth beyond San Antonio, KGS Bikes, a bicycle fitting studio and ultra high-end bicycle store, is expanding into the Dallas area. They will be performing their renowned advanced fitting services twice a month in the new market in order to meet the growing demand.

The fitting process involves a dynamic session on KGS' proprietary fitting bike including adjustments for every dimension, a power meter and the appropriate handlebars (road, triathlon or mountain bike). Advanced video analysis and precise techniques are then used to help the client voice what is most comfortable and efficient. The net result is every client becomes well-educated on their unique bicycle fit and what is required of a bike for the utmost comfort.

"These fitting sessions can be life changing," states Kevin Saunders, President. "While most people can ride their bicycles in an acceptable range of sizes, we have developed the techniques over 25 years to find the exact locations of the saddle, cleats and handlebars. This accuracy provides huge comfort and efficiency gains and can dramatically change the way people look at cycling. "Fitting a client at a high level is not easy," states Saunders. "I have studied form and function for many years to be able to do what we do. Our goal is not to have the rider adapt to a bicycle but to make the bike fit the rider -- down to the millimeter. Our custom bikes range in price from $10,000-30,000, so we have to get the dimensions right," Saunders states.

The KGS Bikes fitting system is brought from San Antonio each visit and set up in a hotel suite. "We chose the Hyatt Summerfield Suites at Lincoln Park as our fitting headquarters as it is a great setting and perfect to help our clients focus on the process. Each fitting session lasts between two and three hours and is customized to the rider's own riding style and fitness level. We have clients fly in from all over the world to get fitted so we can build them the ultimate superbike. We are now taking that technology on the road and can help Dallasites get locally what others travel halfway across the globe to obtain. We typically can fit two to three people a day and will do so on an appointment basis so that we can focus entirely on the client."
