First Look, Parlee Z1 Red Panel Custom Paint - Sem

When we started carrying Parlee bicycles, we already had a relationship with Dave Sem of Sem Custom Paint. This bike is the first of the new "ultra" custom paint jobs one can get on a Parlee through KGS Bikes. Parlee now will allow us to specify a Dave Sem paintjob on their bikes. This bike frame has three panels plus the fork painted in Candy Red, with accent stripes, painted outlines around the Parlee letters and 3D "bubbles" throughout the panels. 
We were looking for a paint style that was modern yet timeless. The Parlee's look great with panels, as the externally molded joints have texture which is best left "bare" with clearcoat. 
Dave designed the fork accent stripes to show a "retro" look, reminescent of the beautiful lugged forks that were built of steel. The Alpha Q fork has a large fork crown, and it looks much better in carbon as well.
This bike will be built up soon and will be on display at the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas, September 27-29. If you are at Interbike, be sure and go by the Parlee booth to see this beauty.
