Lew Racing uses advanced manufacturing techniques to build the strongest 880 gram wheel set in the world PERIOD. DEX-LCM™ is a special technique developed for the Department of Defense (DOD) by Lew Aerospace and is now applied to Lew Racing Wheels which combines Boron and Carbon to produce the PRO VT-1 laminate. Carbon-epoxy rims with stainless steel spokes cannot compete with the lateral stiffness and precise roundness of the PRO VT-1 wheel set. 
The unique spoke design, while traditional in appearance never needs adjusting as each individual spoke is precisely inserted to create zero residual stress in the wheel. Applying aerospace technology from unmanned aircraft, Lew Racing Wheels has designed a new low-drag airfoil section like no other that will challenge the world's best road-racing and time-trial wheels all in one highly precise wheel set. Each wheel is dynamically balanced and is manufactured to conform to aerospace and DOD standards. The wheel is designed for racing, but you'll want to ride it every day.
THE RIMS
Rim Detail
230 grams of Unidirectional Boron/Carbon Advanced Composite molded in a high-torsion DEX-LCM™ Laminate. Alloy-like braking with a thermally conductive brake track. There are no special brake pads needed. The 20mm x 46mm rim design is molded with a spoke-face swirl generator lip which helps to re-attach separated airflow in cross-winds.
NO DECALS
Material texture reflects light to reveal black-on-black logo on the rim surface. No decals, stickers, or "molded in" fabric to slow you down or to add weight.
TRI-LOCK CHANNEL
Tri-Lock Channel
The “Tri-Lock” Channel creates a precise tire-to-rim bond-line so that you don’t have to be an expert to glue on a set of tubulars. The faceted shape made from the intersection of seven different complex surfaces helps center the tire precisely on the center-line of the rim actually correcting for any inaccuracy in your hand-sewn tubulars.
THE HUBS

100% DEX-LCM™ Boron/Carbon Advanced Composite Laminate high-flange hubs are smoothly integrated into the NACA 0029 profile spokes for outstanding aerodynamic performance and stiffness. Precision machined and outfitted with oversized all-weather 24mm cartridge bearings these hubs require no adjustment or service. Shimano or Campagnolo compatible with a high-modulus over-sized 15mm diameter toughened Boron/Carbon Advanced Composite axle both front and rear. “3 Flange System” - The two outer flanges create superior lateral stiffness while the center flange and Quad-drive™ spokes which are located in the same plane as the rim directly transfer power. This eliminates the need for off-center rim designs and uneven spoke-tension due to wheel dish. This eliminates flex from traditional non-linear load paths of traditional tensioned steel spokes. The Quad-drive™ spokes are based upon the same super-low drag NACA 0029 airfoil of the radial spokes. They are 25% oversized and they are rated at double the tension and compression strength of the radial spokes. The result is a rock solid feel and power transfer similar to a solid disk wheel at a fraction of the weight without sacrificing the responsive, comfortable ride quality of a traditionally spoked wheel.
THE SPOKES
Spoke Detail
NACA 0029 (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) airfoil section spokes are seamlessly integrated from root-to-tip into the 46mm rim to create a super low-aerodynamic drag system that behaves like a bladed steel spoked wheel with a 100mm rim at a fraction of the weight with unrivaled cross-wind handling. These spokes maintain their NACA 0029 shape at the very critical rim-spoke interface, unlike steel spokes which loose their blade shape. They weigh only 3 grams each, but they are five times stiffer than their steel competitors with three times the compression strength and double the tensile strength. Each spoke is precisely inserted into the rim at the factory to create zero residual stress with a unique Quad-drive™ rear wheel technology that gets the rider maximum torque with no flex when the power is applied. The wheels never need adjusting and stay true for the life of the wheel. In the event of damage the spokes can be individually replaced at the factory without the need for a new wheel. Available standard black or with the optional distinctive Yellow Spoke of Champions.
